Problems for our final exam

Please suggest problems or problem categories that you would like to see convered on the final exam. Suggestions can be as specific or general as you like.

  3. we covered expectation values of many different types of wells. i also like the crystal lattus problem. the n,l,m components of the hydrogen problem that we have been doing is still fresh in our minds.

  4. I'm partial to the H-atom problems, and the earlier attractive potentials. They link up very nicely, whereas the crystal lattice and angular momentum stuff are quite confusing.

  5. I think some raising-lowering operator problems would be in order, since we seemed to have covered them a fair amount this quarter.

  6. Yeah, something like #3 on HW8, which works out nicely and gives us a somewhat profound result would be nice on the final, so that we might learn something and that at end of the problem looks nice, so that we know that we've done it correctly.
